QUESTION: Where do we set the “firm holidays”, “Personal Days and/or Hours” as well as “Inactive Days” that impact “pace” and “missed time” measures?
RESPONSE: To set your firm holidays, select "Holidays" from the main menu option "Environment". Once on the holiday calendar highlight the date you want to set as a "Holiday" and right click to select "New". Label your holiday and where appropriate set the holiday as recurring (i.e., Christmas is always the 25th of December). At the end of a fiscal year, update your holidays by using the arrows - top right - to navigate to the new year and adding your non-recurring holidays (i.e., labour day).

Set the personal days – the planned absences or time off for the member - at the beginning of each year. Post a time entry per vacation day granted for the timekeeper equal to the value of the daily objective (for example 7.50 hours), dated in the last month of the year (for example December) into the member’s absences matter. This action will generate more accurate pace and missed time measures. Once the actual dates for time-off (planned absences is known) the authorized user can change the entry transaction date to reflect the time off accurately from a calendaring perspective.
Set the personal hours – the planned absences or time off for the member that are considered less than a day – as soon as these are known. In this case, we expect the future dated time entry to be posted to be less than the value of the daily objective (for example 2.0 hours in a firm where the members’ daily objective is 7.50 hours), into the member’s absences matter for more accurate pace and missed time measures.
Inactive days are calculated by the system when the affected member shows as inactive, for example when he or she takes a leave of absence. To calculate the number of days a member is inactive, the application relies on the effective dates for when the member is deactivated and reactivated. The calculated inactive days reduces the members’ number of working days, for more accurate pace and missed time measures.
