QUESTION: I am trying to set up new members.
I am going into File/New/Member and when I search and no results come up (because it’s a new member).
I don’t get a Wizard option to set up a new member.
I also tried going in via View/Persons/Members and then right click NEW (which is how I’ve set up members before) but NEW is greyed out for me and I cannot access it; therefore cannot create anything.
RESPONSE: To create new members, start by selecting "File - New - Members" from the main menu. Complete the search and depending on your findings you will be directed tot he wizard or to the results tab from where you can right click to select "Wizard" with or without a person selected. If you do find the person as a client or vendor, we recommend that you create a second person to avoid conflict with history and use-case. This is the only exception to the duplicate person concept.
Complete the wizard. You will be prompted to add the rate (all members need a rate regardless of if they are timekeepers or not), and the user. Once the member and user are created, make sure that you confirm all attributes are completed by comparing to screenshots of member properties and user properties for someone that would be considered similar. Consider setting the right start date and rate effective date if there will be any retroactive entries.
