QUESTION: How do I know who authorized the write off on an unbilled entry
RESPONSE: During the unbilled entry write-off process, users can select from a list of pre-set firm-defined reasons - for example “Requested and Authorized by Lawyer”; and use the same form to add the authorizing member’s code and name in the free-text note pad which is part of the reason form. The unbilled entry write-off reason is visible in the properties form of the entry written-off, and the additional note pad content (the authorizing member’s code and name) also visible when the “Display Note” button on the written off entry is pressed. Although this level of detail is too heavy to carry through to the GL operation description content, users can drill through from GL inquiry results, to see the information when needed.
