Secure some users with the ability to post time in a closed month so non authorized users can submit the out month time for posting to someone else

QUESTION: We are attempting to stop timekeepers from entering time in closed months.  A timekeeper has attempted to enter time in a month that is now closed but the time needs to be posted.  Other than changing the timekeeper’s rights, logging in as the timekeeper, posting their time and then changing their rights back to not allow posting of late time.  Is there an option available to admin users to allow posting of a timekeeper’s time without changing their permission and logging in as the timekeeper or having an admin user enter and post the time?

RESPONSE: A user can submit the time entered in their timesheet to another user in other for the recipient to post.

In this case, you would authorize a user group – for example accounting – to have security to post time into a closed month. Timekeepers with entries outside of the month would be instructed to submit this time from their timesheet to the timesheet of the person responsible for this task, for them to apply the internal controls – checkpoints - the firm has decided on, before posting the time entry.

To realize this process, select your user group, authorized the posting of time entries into a closed month and communicate the process to affected users. Assistants and lawyers are likely already familiar with the submit function.
