Client-matter rate category changes

QUESTION: How do I change the rate category of a client or matter that is grayed out? Where do I change the rate category for a client or a matter? Does a change in rate category change the WIP?

RESPONSE: To change the rate category for a client or a matter the user needs security “Rates and Codes Changes <<720>>” individually or through membership into a user group that has the security enabled. Once security is granted, from the client/matter dashboard, drill through to the properties of the client or the matter, press on the ellipsis button besides the WIP rate category field found within the information tab, launch the rate category list-view and make the new selection. To accept and save the change press OK to exit. Respond NO to the WIP update message to complete the process without revaluing WIP, or YES to trigger the rate change process.
