QUESTION: t appears that two matters were opened (probably at the same time) for client 7352 that were given the exact same matter number (898).
This is the information from the Dash Matter Properties table:

We’d like to keep MatterID 1400579446 as matter (898) and change MatterID 1400579523 to a new number.
Do we simply renumber the matter to the next available matter number under Matter Properties? Or is there anything else that needs to happen in the background to make this work?
RESPONSE: You should be able to access one of the matter properties and override the matter number (secured function). The only point to consider is that the matter you will be able to access first may not be the one you want to modify, therefore temporarily give it a number (i.e. add 800 to the start for example) then located the second one to change the number and return to the first to make the final change.
