Matter - Use of the Highly Confidential flag during file intake and relationship to restricted matters

QUESTION: Could you please advise regarding highly confidential matters and how this impacts information in Acumin?

RESPONSE: The highly confidential flag is used to highlight the sensitivity of the matter during the file intake process, so the information gathered this process which often involves parties represented, other parties and potentially a highly sensitive matter name, is not handled with care, often not generally distributed office wide using the email process offered by Acumin or some other firm process for conflict clearance. It also highlights the person responsible for the file intake process, the candidacy of the matter to be restricted to an allowable member list, so once the matter is activated or rejected, it is done so as a restricted matter to a selected group of allowable members.

We include information on restricted matter logic as this has additional implications during the life cycle of the matter.
