Override for Matter/File-Close Process when Notes are preventing close

QUESTION: There are WIP notes in progress whose status have to be changed to Complete in order to close the corresponding matter. Is there a way to override this process?

RESPONSE: Yes, this is part of your Environment Settings, and requires the appropriate Acumin permissions (699 - Access to Environment Menu) and (700 - Environment General Changes)

From your menu, navigate to Environment - System Configuration - System Settings, you can modify the matter closing process to override existing notes by enabling the “Allow users to close a matter when there is any type of notes (Collection, WIP, Case and CRM). The system will automatically delete notes in progress on confirmation by the user during the closing matter process.” checkbox found within Defaults - Client & Matter 2 - Close Matter tabs.
