Acumin's invoice sharing functionality in context of applied receipts to one of the participants

QUESTION: When a file is open, for example mediation,  a split fee file is created.  We then create invoice sharing which allows each party to pay 50% of the fees.  The question is, how to ensure that we know which party paid after the file has been billed, i.e. the invoice is for 5,000.00,  each party paid 1,500.00 leaving an outstanding balance of 2,000.00 which is split evenly between the two parties.  The problem arises when one of the parties pays their share, it does not show which party paid the amount.  Can you advise of a fix or what step we are missing to have this rectified?

RESPONSE: When you create the shared invoice in Acumin, the invoice is associated to two partipants (two separate clients) - each with their unique contact ID. That is how we create the shared invoice document. Once you enter the receipt of 1,500 for the shared invoice of 5,000, the application prompts for the user completing this task to select the participant and contact that is making the payment. The Accounts Receivable dashboard would show this when executed to show the amounts owed per participant as would the Aged AR report executed with the participant option ON.
