How the Future-Dated Invoice Warning Works

Summary

Acumin provides a warning for invoices dated more than two months in the future.

Feature Details

The Future Dated Invoice Date Control is a safeguard designed to prevent accidental posting of invoices with incorrect future dates.

  • When a user attempts to Post an invoice with a transaction date more than two months in the future, a warning message will appear.

  • This control is a warning, not a hard block. It alerts the user but still allows them to proceed with posting if the future date is intentional, accommodating various firm billing cycles.

Recommendation

  1. Manual verification: if the firm uses a version before 2.1, remind staff to double-check the invoice date—especially the year—before clicking Post.
