Can I bill a file with no billable/chargeable entries?

QUESTION: Can I bill a file with no billable time entries? Is it possible?

We have files where lawyers are recording their non-chargeable work but Acumin doesn’t allow to bill them because “there’s no WIP”. I want to bill (at $0.00) to lock these time entries in an invoice, I don’t want to write them off.

RESPONSE: Matters that are set to have all entries as non-chargeable (using the radio button option in Matter Properties under the Information tab's Chargeability sub-tab) cannot be billed.

To remove these entries and close the matter for example, you will need to “write off or remove” the entries using the right-click contextual menu in the WIP Dashboard.

Although the option is labeled "Write-off/Remove," we confirm that non-chargeable entries are simply removed and do not have any financial impact.
